PM Imran interest-free loan program launching -worth Rs407 billions

Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday launched a Rs 407 billion PM Imran interest-free loan program under the Successful Pakistan program, which he said would help the country’s low-income groups become self-reliant.

Addressing the launching ceremony of the program at Faisal Masjid in Islamabad, the Prime Minister said that under this initiative, 4.5 million families would benefit from interest-free loans to start small businesses, build houses, start farming, and education. To be obtained.


He added that the government has so far disbursed Rs 2,500 crore to low-income groups in various welfare schemes, and after encouraging the government to provide facilities to the common man, the banks have disbursed Rs 55,000 crore.PM Imran interest-free loans are also provided.

The Prime Minister further said that the “biggest” step taken by his government for the convenience of the citizens was the issuance of a ‘New Pakistan Health Card’. ‘Collecting FBR records makes relief possible’

Prime Minister Imran also mentioned his recent announcement of a reduction in petrol and electricity prices, saying that the government had succeeded in taking this step due to “record” tax collection by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) PM Imran’s interest-free loan.

Earlier this week, the Prime Minister announced a reduction of Rs 10 per liter in petrol and Rs 5 per unit in electricity rates as part of measures to provide some relief to the people.

The announcement drew criticism and skepticism from many, especially from the opposition. The move has been described as a “populist” move, with many fearing it could lead to a new wave of debt financing the package.

However, Prime Minister Imran Khan in his speech today clarified that it was in fact the revenue collected by the FBR that enabled the government to take such relief measures.

“I would like to thank the FBR for raising the record tax in Pakistan today and that is why when prices are rising internationally, we have reduced the price of petrol to Rs 10 per liter and electricity rates,” he said. Earlier, the prime minister praised the FBR in a tweet for “successfully lowering” the February revenue target of Rs 441 billion and posting a “solid growth” of 28.5%.

“Thanks to this FBR initiative, we can subsidize petrol, diesel, and electricity and provide relief to our people,” he said.
